At Only Oats, we create gluten-free, non-dairy cookies and cakes using whole oat flour, ensuring everyone can enjoy our heart-healthy, nutritious superfoods.

Gafnit, our founder and baker has been passionate about cooking and baking since she started doing it at age 8. She went to chef school in Israel, prior to coming to the United States. When her children were in school, she would bake delicious treats for them, but wasn't allowed to send them to school with the children because there were other children there who were on a gluten-free diet. She knew that many cakes and cookies that are kosher for Passover (not made with matzo meal) are also gluten free. That got her started with gluten free baking.

Baking has always been a spiritual experience for Gafnit, reciting the appropriate blessings and entering a state of cooperating with G_d. The ingredients typically used for Passover, like potato starch, don't qualify for the blessing typically made over grain products. She prayed for inspiration, and came up with the idea of working with oats. She doesn't take credit for her novel idea, because she give the credit to Him.

Her early efforts didn't produce a texture she was happy with, but over time and experimentation, evolved into delicious cookies that anyone would enjoy. When she first hit on a recipe she and her family were happy with, she had been experimenting, without writing things down, so it was hard to replicate. Her youngest son decided to help by following her around the kitchen with a sheet of paper and writing down everything she did. That sheet of paper formed the basis of Only Oats Cookies, and she keeps it in a safe place to this day.

The enthusiastic response to Only Oat Cookies has inspired Gafnit to expand her product line, including some products that are not made with oat flour. She also creates Sesame Blessings - a flour and grain-free cookie with the nutritious goodness of sesame seeds.

We prioritize natural, simple ingredients to cater to those with food sensitivities and allergies, making our treats enjoyable for all. There are no preservatives in any of our products. We won't sell anything that we wouldn't feed to our family.
